Our Tingley Preschool and Kindergarten's "Bumble Bee" group consists of children who are three, turning four during the school year.

"Bumble Bees" are at the wonderful age of development where their attention spans are increasing and they are particularly interested in hands-on learning experiences.

At Tingley Preschool and Kindergarten, we provide them with the opportunity to learn, explore and grow in an environment which provides varied learning experiences at their fingertips.

Our 'Busy Bee Room' is outfitted with a variety of readiness games and learning aids as well as a computer. After a presentation by the teacher the children are encouraged to make their own choice, while the teacher and group leader are available to interact with the children and the child's choice.

Our art center features special projects introduced to reinforce our letter of the week. In addition the children can choose special activities such as, water table, sand table, Play doh table, the block center, or using the easels. Children are given the opportunity to enjoy learning the basic ingredients.

"Bumble Bees" enjoy learning scientific concepts. They do this by participating in hands on simple experiments.

Our cooking classes provide the children with an opportunity to identify basic ingredients and learn how to measure, mix, and pour.

Without even realizing it the children are learning about shapes, fractions, and chemical changes. The great part about it is that the children have a tasty treat they can claim as their own creation!

One of the children's favorite things to do in this program is go to gymnastics at Henderson's Gymnastics Academy. The "Bumble Bees" go to the gym with their group leader. Once in the gym they are met by a safety certified gymnastics instructor for their class.

Movement class is another one of the children's favorite classes. The children enjoy the variety of activities, this includes organized games, dance and drama.

We feel that our main objective for our wonderful Tingley Preschool and Kindergarten's "Bumble Bees" is to keep their self image positive.
